The offer of a code review covers the following languages:

C/C++, NI LabVIEW, Perl, PHP, and VHDL

ITDev is keen to showcase its expertise and its attention to detail. We are offering a free code review to businesses that haven't used our services before. During the code review we will use our internal checklists and coding standards to identify ways in which your code can be improved.

The review will:

Check for clear syntax, meaningful variable names, understandable function names, consistent formatting and other basic aspects of good programming.
Suggest how to improve the readability of the code to make it easier to maintain.
Look at the structure of the code and suggest ways to make it more scalable.
Review how classes, functions, variables, etc are used to reduce coupling and increase cohesion.
Look at code security. This is especially important when the application is accessible through the Internet.
Propose tests that will widen your test coverage and increase confidence in the code's reliability.
Use code analysis tools such as Lint to improve the robustness of the code.
Suggest automated documentation tools such as Doxygen that can be used to generate clear and helpful documentation.

This offer is not available to existing customers. Whilst this is a genuine offer to perform a free service, ITDev reserves the right to accept or decline the provision of this offer according to staff availability and other factors determined by ITDev.

The level of detail covered by the review will be at the sole discretion of ITDev and will depend upon such factors as the volume, language and quality of code to be reviewed.
