- ASIC Design Services

- Embedded Software Development
It is common for modern ICs to contain at least one processor core. We have experience in developing embedded software for system-on-chip processors in a wide variety of applications.
- Device Driver Development
For ICs that interface to PCs, or embedded processors, device drivers are a common requirement. We can develop drivers for many different platforms and operating systems.
We have experience of a wide range of evaluation techniques for digital, analogue and mixed-signal ICs. We also have a good working knowledge of all common, and some less common, pieces of test kit.
- Evaluation, Configuration and Product Selection Software
We can provide software to make it easier for PCB designers to design-in our customers ICs. Not only have we developed software to interface directly to demo boards, but we have also produced software to help with design decisions, predict performance and generate on-the-fly schematics of recommended connections. In some cases there can be advantages in delivering this software as a web-based application, giving customers easy access whilst gathering valuable information about how devices are being configured and used.
- Evaluation and Demonstration Board Design
We are very familiar with the requirements for internal evaluation boards and customer demo boards. We can provide PCB design services and manage PCB manufacture and population.
- Characterisation and Production Test
We have experience in the automation of a wide variety of tests, as well a good knowledge of the standard digital ASIC production test flow. We use NI LabVIEW and other automation tools such as scripting, to automate testing for evaluation, characterisation and production test purposes.
