Competitor winner of Google Home Mini

Last month, ITDev took part in the inaugural Business Innovation South Expo, at Chilworth Manor Hotel, Southampton. It was a great opportunity to engage with the Expo visitors as well as support our local business community and represent our sector.

As part of the event, we invited visitors to our stand to take part in a competition:

‘What’s your biggest challenge that technology could help to solve?’

Answers varied from ideas surrounding artificial limbs to creating an electronic version of business cards. However, we judged the best answer to be:

Using technology to reduce food waste by using AI to recommend menus, contents of shopping baskets and delivery times to optimise how much food I order.’

This was suggested by Andy Feltham at Filament AI. We were delighted to award the prize, a Google Home Mini, to Andy earlier this week at an informal prize giving. Andy was really excited to win the prize, exclaiming ‘Woo! That’s cool!’ when he heard the news.

 Congratulations Andy!
