ITDev can design and deliver complete electronic systems. We provide electronics design, schematic capture and layout and are happy to work with our trusted suppliers to manage PCB manufacture, population and testing. We have on-site facilities for prototyping and rework, as well as analogue and digital evaluation.

Design and Schematic Capture

We aim for the highest quality in all of our work, and PCB design is no exception. We take care to ensure that our designs will be reliable over tolerances of components, voltages and temperature. If required, we can ensure second sourcing is available for all chosen components. We also provide thorough design documentation explaining component choices and design decisions. This ensures that your design can be reliably and efficiently maintained long into the future.

Our designers are familiar with low-power requirements and can advise on component selection and design techniques to minimise power consumption. We are also experienced in low-noise, high-frequency designs and take care to highlight critical nets in the schematics, both for documentation purposes, and to ensure that they are treated appropriately in layout.

We use the following software tools to generate schematics:

  • Altium Designer
  • NI Electronics Workbench

PCB Layout

We have experience of low-noisehigh-frequency, analogue and digital PCB layout. This includes:

  • Transmission line impedance matching
  • Differential pair routing and length matching
  • Power supply noise isolation and filtering
  • Component placement and routing optimisation
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

We also consider the mechanical aspects of layout to ensure that all components, controls and displays are correctly aligned with the target enclosure. 3D modelling can also be used where appropriate, for example, to check ease of access to connectors and test points.

PCB Manufacture

ITDev use certified associates to manufacture our circuit board designs.

Typical Board Design

  • Single, double sided or multilayer
  • Surface mount technology (SMT)
  • Analogue, digital or mixed signal
  • Solder mask
  • Silkscreen
