Since early 2022, ITDev has taken proactive steps to enhance employee wellbeing by establishing a dedicated HR function. This initiative has paved the way for a range of supportive resources aimed at fostering a healthier, more balanced workplace.

Mental Health First Aid & Employee Assistance Programme

They say that people are your greatest asset. Well here at ITDev we believe that is true and have developed a culture that not only celebrates staff successes but are also committed to staff welfare too.

We take pride in our commitment to our staff’s welfare, providing a supportive and thriving workplace culture and we recognise the significance of providing comprehensive support for all of our staff.

We have invested in dedicated Mental Health First Aiders who are a point of contact for any colleague who may be experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress. They can recognise the signs if a colleague may be experiencing mental ill health and will be there to offer them support and/or signpost them to relevant assistance. They promote good mental health within ITDev and have taken steps to reduce the stigma that is associated with mental health issues, with colleagues reaching out for professional or personal support.

We have also introduced an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) which is available to all staff from day one of employment.

It’s a vital resource designed to promote mental health and emotional wellbeing among our team.

The nature of our work is that it often involves deadlines, complex problem-solving and ever-evolving technologies. Our staff can choose to work from home if they prefer and we are very much aware of the importance of a healthy work-life balance for their well-being. The EAP can offer resources and strategies to help our staff manage their time effectively, set boundaries, and prioritise self-care.

It offers confidential support designed to help employees navigate personal challenges that may impact their well-being and performance at work. It provides a range of resources to support mental health, work-life balance, and overall employee wellness.

It provides access to a range of services including counselling, mental health support, legal assistance, financial guidance and more.

At ITDev, we agree that our employees are our greatest asset. By having dedicated Mental Health First Aiders and implementing an Employee Assistance Programme, we create a supportive and nurturing work environment that prioritises the well-being of our staff and where every individual can thrive, bringing a positive work environment and laying the foundation for long-term success.
