Fixed Price Commitments

  1.  We will quote a fixed price.

Fixed prices enable our clients to plan better. Our detailed requirements gathering, project planning and risk assessment enables us to quote to a fixed price with confidence. The price will remain fixed unless there are significant changes to the requirements.

For large projects with a lot of uncertainties, we will recommend an initial study to determine the project's detailed requirements, before quoting for the full project. The initial study can be run under a fixed price contract or a time and materials contract.

  2.  There will be no hidden charges.

ITDev does everything it can to give our clients full visibility of all the project costs, for all project stages including warranty and support costs. There will be no surprises!

  3.  We will deliver on time, every time.

Software and electronics development projects typically have a bad reputation for overrunning on budgets and timescales. In contrast, ITDev has an unblemished track record of delivering high quality services on time, every time. We only agree to realistic and achievable timescales, and if for any reason the project starts to fall behind schedule, then we will always have extra resource available to put the project back on track.

  4.  We will strive for zero defects.

Our aim is for zero defects at delivery and we have an excellent track record in this area. This is achieved by following a high quality development process that ensures that work at each stage is verified and approved. The final system is always run through a comprehensive system test before delivery.

  5.  We will provide a warranty suited to your requirements.

warranty can be provided with the delivered product so that if there are any issues they will be addressed promptly by ITDev free of charge. Issues can be reported and tracked in the client portal.

Time and Materials Commitments

  1.  We will provide experienced consultants and engineers.

We have a team of experienced consultants and engineers waiting to help you with all your requirements.

  2.  We will respond to enquiries promptly and can often begin projects at very short notice.

When planning our projects we make sure not to overcommit ourselves, which means that we have the flexibility to respond quickly to enquiries. If you email us, you can expect a response either the same, or the next, working day, or you can phone us to discuss your requirements straight away. If you have an urgent problem to solve, a lack of resource, or your project is slipping, then contact us now.

  3.  We will be flexible.

We understand that every client may have slightly different needs or may require a different approach. For example, if you have adopted an agile methodology or you are using a more structured waterfall model, we are happy to fit in with your preferred way of working. Likewise, we are happy to work at your location, gathering requirements or providing support, or to work solely at our offices, using the established tools and processes that we have in place to ensure first class communication.

  4.  We will provide timesheets and task progress reports.

Our staff book their time to project tasks in our proprietary timesheet system. Using our client portal, we can not only provide you with conventional weekly timesheets, but also a choice of reports showing how time has been spent on the project so far. These include graphical reports showing the progress of each task vs. original and current estimates, and historical views of your project showing how much time has been spent on each task during each week of the project.

General Commitments

  1.  We will provide first class communications.

Each project will have a dedicated project manager who will act as the main contact point. The project manager will be available to answer any project queries that the client has. We have an open approach to our work. The client is able to access key files, documentation and project reports through the client portal. The client is even able to track the current "live" project progress. The project manager will be pro-active in ensuring that the client is aware of any important information.

  2.  The client will own the intellectual property arising from the work if required.

The client is typically provided with all the project documentation, which includes design information, engineering files and source code with detailed instructions on the tools used. This will give the client complete control of the project files, to use as needed in the future. We can also retain secure copies of the project files indefinitely. The client is able to access these at any time through the client portal.
