ITDev has wide ranging knowledge of developing user interfaces and is experienced in human factors, rapid prototyping and cross-platform development. We develop web-based graphical user interfaces, Windows applications and mobile applications. We have recently developed a 3D data visualisation application for Android devices.

Human Factors Expertise

We have a good understanding of human factors and are able to design modern user interfaces that are natural to use, are consistent in their operation, have optimal user workflows, and operate efficiently with immediate user feedback.

Expert Systems Development

ITDev considers the expertise of the user and the associated domain-specific human factors when developing user interfaces. We're experienced at implementing both expert and untrained user systems. We hire the best engineers who are able to pick up new domain-specific knowledge quickly.

Rapid Prototyping

ITDev works closely with the client during the user interface design phase to ensure that the client's requirements are fully understood before implementation is started. ITDev is able to rapidly produce mock-ups and prototypes to explore different design approaches. This allows ITDev and the client to agree on the general "look and feel" and to decide on all the major user workflows before the actual implementation is started.

Cross-Platform Development

Our engineers can develop user interfaces for all the main platforms including Windows, Unix/Linux and Android. We're particularly skilled at cross-platform development and can produce a single application that will run on more than one operating system.

Automated Testing

We use dedicated user interface testing tools to automate the testing of our user interface components. This allows us to script a thorough test of all the user workflows and to check that for all actions (both valid and invalid) the user interface behaves as required.

Quality is important to us at all stages of a project.
