ITDev provides fully managed technology design services from its modern high-tech offices on the Southampton Science Park. Despite being a small company with a family atmosphere, our software and electronics designs touch the lives of millions of people every day. Whether it is through our contributions to the Android operating system, or through our work on broadcast equipment that delivers television content throughout the world, you have probably experienced the results of some of our projects already. We deliver design services for audio/video system development under our Imicast brand.

We are conveniently located on the outskirts of Southampton close to the M27 and M3, and easily commutable from the south of the M4 (Newbury: 40 mins, Basingstoke: 35 mins).

Our talented Software Engineers and Electronic Design Engineers create world-class products for our clients. We typically develop:

The primary role of the candidate will be to develop and verify FPGA designs for ITDev's clients. The successful applicant will have solid background in VHDL and FPGA design. Knowledge of Verilog & System Verilog and design assurance standards would be considered advantageous. During this contract they may get involved with multiple projects using an array of tooling and verification methodologies.

The candidate must enjoy working in small teams where knowledge is shared, experience gained, and high quality solutions delivered to our customers.

The primary role of the successful candidate will be to develop FPGA designs for ITDev's clients using VHDL or Verilog. ITDev offers a broad range of services from specification and design, right through to evaluation and production test support. As such, this role is likely to include some involvement at every stage of the design cycle. In addition, candidates must have experience of software development and have an aptitude for programming. They must enjoy taking on software tasks from time to time.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience developing digital IP for FPGA or ASIC.

Salary guide: £30,000 to £45,000 + uncapped profit share.

The primary role of the successful candidate will be to develop FPGA designs for ITDev's clients using VHDL or Verilog. We offer a broad range of services from specification and design, right through to evaluation and production test support. As such, this role is likely to include some involvement at every stage of the design cycle. In addition, opportunities will be available to gain experience in software development, and the perfect candidate will demonstrate an interest and aptitude in both hardware and software.

The ideal candidate will be predicted this academic year a 1st/2:1 in Electronic Engineering or a similar degree from a leading university.

You will need to be experienced in developing embedded software in C/C++ and be familiar with using git. We are particularly interested in contractors that develop for Linux or Android based platforms.

This senior team member will take a leading role in the development and support of bespoke software for ITDev's clients. The work will involve putting together proposals, running Agile development team(s), liaising with clients, and contributing to all areas of the software development lifecycle. They must be a strong, passionate, software engineer, who loves helping and nurturing other engineers. Typical projects include:

  • Embedded software development under Linux and other embedded operating systems.
  • Microcontroller development.
  • DSP firmware development.
  • Android and Linux driver development.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience developing embedded software and solid experience in each stage of the SDLC. Experience with Agile, C/C++ and version control is essential. Experience with Python is desirable.

Salary guide: £40,000 to £55,000 + uncapped profit share.
