Darren

Senior Software Engineer

Bsc Applied Physics, Microelectronics and Computing, Kingston University

After university I started working on embedded software for a fruit machine company, controlling motors and lamp arrays.
I later moved into the broadcast industry working for Pace Micro on the Docsis and Davic STBs.
From there I moved to Sun Microsystems, working on daughter cards for the 2PTower server.
Returning to the broadcast industry with Harmonic (HD01) and later to Ericsson Television to work on the professional receivers (RX8xxx, Rx8 and RX1)and encoders (ICE6).
Most recently, I worked in a team developing OEM equipment on Arm devices, for a company called Bitbox.

I enjoy spending time with my family, running and learning to play the electric guitar.
